About Half-Ass Couture
Mule-hearted. Mission-fueled. A little rough around the edges.
Just how we like it.
It all started with a kid in rural North Dakota. She was curled up with a worn copy of Brighty of the Grand Canyon and dreaming of the day she could befriend a donkey of her own. That spark never left. It just got muddier, scrappier, and more stubborn over time.
Half-Ass Couture grew out of that spark.
Not from a fashion house. Not from a startup playbook. It came from the messy, beautiful realness of loving long-eared companions with your whole heart. Hay in your hair. Mud on your boots. No need to impress anyone who doesn’t get it.
Our kind of “couture” isn’t polished. It’s gear that shows up like you do. Ready for barn chores, feed store runs, early mornings, and bray-filled afternoons.
Why We Do What We Do
We’re here to celebrate the gritty, glorious, sometimes ridiculous life of donkey moms, mule girls, barn queens, and all stubborn-souled humans. We believe being “too much” is a compliment. We believe in wearing your pride without apology.
Most of all?
We believe in giving back.
Donkeys and mules have taught us everything about worth, patience, and standing your ground. So every order helps support the rescues who fight for their second chances.
Through our Hoofprint Heroes program, your purchase helps fund feed, hoof care, shelter upgrades, and more.
What You’ll Find Here
We make bray-worthy gear for folks who live and love a little differently. Limited-edition prints. Custom bundles. Pun-filled designs. Everything we create is made to reflect your long-ear pride and barnyard joy.
Every item is printed on demand. That means it’s made just for you. It also helps us reduce waste and skip bulk inventory. We're a small, intentional operation that likes it that way.
From Our Herd to Yours
Half-Ass Couture isn’t just a shop. It’s a celebration of mule-minded rebellion, stubborn pride, and everyday barn magic.
If you’ve ever teared up at a bray, named your truck after your jenny, or been told to tone it down...
You’re in the right barn.
Welcome home.
