What’s a Hoofprint Hero?
Hoofprint Heroes are the rescuers, fosters, sanctuary founders, and wild-hearted advocates who show up (rain or shine, boots or bare feet) for donkeys and mules in need.
They’re mucking stalls at dawn. Hauling hay in the heat. Raising funds and spirits on shoestring budgets. Giving second chances to long ears the world too often forgets.
We built our entire mission around supporting these folks. And you can help us find the next one.
Who Can You Nominate?
We welcome nominations for:
- 501(c)(3) rescues and sanctuaries
- Foster-based or micro-scale donkey programs
- Mule-focused education and outreach orgs
- Individuals making a consistent impact in donkey/mule care or advocacy
🐎 Note: While we adore all equines, our program is focused specifically on donkeys and mules. If your nominee is primarily a horse rescue with a few long-eared residents, we still encourage you to reach out, but please understand they may not be prioritized for full partnership.

Choose "Nominate a Hoofprint Hero" as the subject
Tell us:
- The rescue or advocate’s name
- Where they’re located
- A few sentences about what makes them extraordinary
That’s it. We’ll take it from there.
